چکیده
We report the case of a 52-year-old Asian man presenting with severe lower back pain and bilateral radiculopathy due to acute L3/L4 disc extrusion, causing spinal canal stenosis L4 nerve root compression. Following ten-week conservative management plan consisting high-velocity, low-amplitude manipulation, adjunctive therapies, home exercise, patient experienced significant relief, functional improvement, near resolution deficits. A six-month follow-up MRI revealed remained asymptomatic at nine months. This highlights potential for spontaneous resorption lumbar herniation symptomatic improvement management, including chiropractic treatment. favorable natural course should be considered when deciding between early surgical intervention warranting further prospective studies evaluate effectiveness treatment role regression in herniation.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between severity of preoperative impaired ankle reflex and outcomes of lumbar discectomy in the patients with L5-S1 LDH. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 181 patients (108 male and 73 female) w...

متن کاملLevel-diagnosis of Lumbar Disc Herniation
Little information is at hand on the diagnostic values of the clinical symptoms and signs in the level diagnosis of patients with lower lumbar disc herniation. We examined one hundred and thirty nine consecutive candidates for lower lumbar discectomy. Monoradicular pain with signs attributed to the fifth lumbar and first sacral root dysfunctions were evaluated independently in each patient. ...

Between 1995 and 1999, 12 patients aged 65 years or more (mean 70.2) with lumbar disc herniation, underwent partial laminectomy and nucleotomy. The results were compared with those of 25 younger patients aged between 20 and 40 years (mean 30.1), who underwent the same surgical procedure. The Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score was used to assess the clinical outcome. The minimum follow-...
